Oh! what a week that was.  My wife gave birth to a boy child on 4th July.  And boy, what a wonderful birthday gift from my wife. Yes .... it was on my birthday (according to Malayalam Calender, and we celebrate birthdays according to traditional calender even these days) she delivered.

It is more than 8 years since we got married and she has never failed in presenting a birthday gift though I have failed once or twice in reciprocating. And this year I was sure she can't, as she was on the last month of her pregnancy and hence can't go out.  But she had the last laugh.

And what a proud mother she is.  She wanted a son badly though I was not so eager and was contented with our 7 year old daughter.  And to think of the tension she had undergone wondering whether the child will be a boy - she must be on cloud nine now.

She must now be thinking of the future Avittom Naals of Mithunam. Birthday celebration of Father-son duo.  Going to the temple for Archanas and Abhishekams.
Sadhya and Payasam..... what not.
